Specialist: Application Support
Role Purpose
Provide expert knowledge of the Oracle RODOD product in order to facilitate JAD sessions between development and operations on the best solutions for minor and major improvements on the Consumer Siebel application. Offer expert advice on continuous improvements for the application to ensure future proof solutions.
Your responsibilities will include
Perform tasks and coordinate transitioning of applications into the retail and commercial environment
Ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Coordinate and ensure that effective service levels are maintained
Perform tasks and actions related to continual service improvements
Coordinate system changes through automation and process implementation
Conduct diagnostic investigations of application errors and implement corrective actions
Responsible for tracking key deliverables to meet deadlines and business objectives
Ensure high availability of the retail and commercial applications
Ensure a high level of security around the retail and commercial applications
Coordinate change control within the relevant retail and commercial application environment
Ensure optimal incident and service management process are followed and executed
Perform risk management procedures, business continuance scenarios, contingency and
disaster recovery plans during downtime and/or major disasters.
Identifies and makes recommendations regarding critical points of failure and ensure that sufficient capacity is always available
Ensures that quality methods and procedures are executed.
Ensures that products, applications, and systems are in compliance with established quality standards and meet customer requirements.
Implement and execute best-in-class processes, understands the interaction and relationship of business operations and operating systems and network processes.

Matric
3 years degree/diploma
3-year experience with customer-facing applications / Application management
ITIL Certified
